Origin Date: 11-03-2021

The Story: In Southern California, rain is rare. We’d been in a drought for years, so when it rained on my college campus (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) I went on an expedition into Poly Canyon. I wanted to see what textures changed, what colors & smells emerged, and feel moisture in the air again. I stumbled upon an old wooden bridge near Architecture Graveyard and was fascinated by its rigidness and the dark, soaked wood. I’d been wanting to create a “fork in the road” piece for a while and thought this was the perfect subject!
